I'm speculating, but I'd be willing to bet that the number of variations on these phones is the direct result of their success. Customer satisfaction on these models is high and the features appeal to a wide range of buyers.

That's because "shake and tilt" and dual sim are very handy. You can change wallpaper, songs, video, photos and other media simply by shaking the phone. You don't have to scroll or look down. You can also change the screen display from portrait to wide screen by just tilting it. Dual sim allows you to have two phone numbers or plans on one phone.

Luckily, the manufacturers are smart enough to know that different consumers prize different things. Some might really want a stylus while others may prize an FM radio. All of the shaking clones differ slightly in terms of the specifications they contain.

Although the LH01 closely resembles all of the others, it differs in a few ways. It is somewhat smaller at 5.3 X 11.3 X 1.3 mm and it weights only 107 grams. (This is why it is sometimes called the "mini HiPhone.") This phone has improved the digital camera with 2.0 mega pixels, it has updated the software

and added an FM radio.

This clone has all of the standard features of the others, including: dual sim slots (with the ability to switch back and forth between them); full MP3 and MP4 capabilities; Java 2.0; web browsing (GPRS + WAP); email and texting (SMS, MMS, EMS, SMS group send, and long text SMS); handwriting recognition; an FM radio; and web cam.

In terms of appearance, other than the smaller size, this phone looks extremely similar to the HiPhone. It too enjoys a zippy, intuitive performance. The camera produces crisp, sharp photos. The images are extremely easy to manipulate with nothing but your fingers. As you might expect from a Chinese clone, the speakers are top notch. It's nice to have the option of using them with both the radio and the MP3s.

Price wise, this clone appears to be on the cheaper end, averaging somewhere around $120. Perhaps this is because in general all cell phones have come down in price. Considering the fact that I've not found any drawbacks on this model which would make me hesitate to recommend it, I feel this is a pretty attractive price.
